Sweet potato fries are a healthy and tasty alternative to normal fries – made with normal potatoes.
The fact they’re healthier and, in my opinion, taste better is great. It’s one of those times with food where you’re excited to eat a healthy alternative because it actually tastes better for once! So, if you’re wondering how to make them, here’s a guide.
Ingredients
- 95g sweet potato, cut into fries
- 1 tsp rapeseed oil
- ¼ tsp cayenne pepper (optional, it depends if you want them to be spicy).
- Any other seasoning you want

Example.
Method
- Heat oven to 200C/180C fan/ gas 6.
- Put 95g sweet potato, cut into fries, on a baking tray and mix with 1 tsp rapeseed oil and ¼ tsp cayenne pepper (or other seasoning).
- Bake in the oven for 20 mins.
- Serve with your desired meat or main – sweet potato fries go particularly well with chicken and the sauce mayonnaise!
