Quick And Easy Ways To Improve Your Health

Staying healthy is obviously very important, there’s no doubt about it.

However, some people just find it easier to be unhealthy, and you can sort of see why. Junk food is much cheaper than healthy food, and lets be honest, it’s often tastier too.

But it doesn’t have to be hard to be healthy, I’m going to tell you how you can improve your health in a few simple ways.

Get more sleep.

An easy one to start right? And its a nice one too; who doesn’t love sleep? Sleep is important, as it gives your brain and rest and some time to repair itself and the body. Well rested people often are happier, fitter, and get ill less often. This is no coincidence! It’s recommended you get around 8 hours of sleep a night, and around 7 is the minimum recommend figure. If you don’t mange these numbers, then do your best to start hitting them, as you’ll see differences in your health and just overall life.

Implement fruit & veg into your life.

This doesn’t mean go out of your way to buy the freshest apple possible every morning. The point here is to try and make it seem like the least amount of effort possible. Casually swap out an unhealthy breakfast for a banana example, make it normal and easy to just have more fruit in your life because you’ll feel better for it, and your body will think you for it too.

Exercise.

Obviously this has to be on here! If you’re not massive exercise fan, that’s fine. If you’ve got some spare time during the day, just go for a long walk. And if you have have to go somewhere, if possible, walk or bike instead of driving. Even just walking increases your health, as it is a form of exercise even though it may not be the most strenuous. Some people recommend 10,000 steps a day, but if you’re a busy person this isn’t always attainable. Just make sure you’re doing something at least, even if it’s not walking.

Bonus: Stop smoking.

I know I said these would be easy, and I know this might not be. But it can’t be left out. Smoking is such a self destructive habit, and damages your heart and lungs often to irreversible points if you smoke enough and for long enough. But in terms of your overall health, if you have the option, it’ll be the best thing you ever do. Within a few days your body will start to heal itself and things will begin to return to normal, and within a year a lot of the smoking damage will be undone. So it’s better to quit sooner rather than later.

Obviously I’m no doctor, I’m just writing about common knowledge and how being a bit healthier doesn’t have to be that hard. If you’re really unhealthy, or have any doubts or issues with your health, obviously go to the doctors, they’ll give better help and advice than someone on the Internet ever could!
