Lakers suffer a defeat against Suns 02-03-2019

Lakers 109 – 118 Suns

After the Lakers defeat against the Bucks on Friday, this game looked like it was going to be just what the Lakers needed to boost themselves up for their final push for a playoff position. However, the Suns shut the Lakers down very early in the game and went into half time with a 6 point lead.

The Lakers could not pull it back in 3rd and went a further 10 points down making it very difficult to perform a comeback in the 4th.

Towards the final minute, Lebron drove in and slammed home a two-pointer bringing the score to Suns 112 – 109 Lakers. A questionable decision by the officials against Hart put Ayton at the three from line leaving the Lakers team looking frustrated. Ayton was able to sink them both.

Lebron with haste took the ball down court and drove through the middle, drawing the foul but was unable to sink the shot. However, this still gave him 2 shots from the free throw line. Lebron missed them both. This summed up the night for the Lakers. and with a poor offensive performance by lakers in the final seconds, the game finished 109 – 118 to the Suns.
