Celtics increase Lakers Loss streak to 5 – 9th March 2019

Celtics 120 – 107 Lakers

Lebron’s side took another hit last night when Celtics took the win with not too much difficulty.

In the 1st quarter, Lakers put up a good fight with a higher presence in the paint than the Celtics however they were outplayed from behind the 3 point line. this resulted in the Lakers falling behind by just 1 point for the quarter finishing 24-25 in Celtics favour.

This was unfortunately where the positives end for the Lakers. In quarter 2 the Celtics stepped up their pace, and unfortunately, Lebron’s team just didn’t match, struggling at both ends of the court. Lakers were also giving Celtics a helping hand with 8 turnovers before half time.

Celtics increased the lead with quarter 3. Lakers started to show a comeback in quarter 4 but by this time the damage had already been done.

The main factor throughout the game that resulted in the Lakers 5th straight loss was simple, turnovers, too many mistakes were made. Lakers have to protect the ball more.

It looks like the Lakers will have a busy summer in training. Especially since their playoff hopes have disappeared.
