Toronto Raptors Capture First Ever NBA Championship

2019 NBA Finals winner The Toronto Raptors

The Toronto Raptors finally fulfilled their recent promise by winning the 2019 NBA Finals, clinching victory away at Golden State in what was the final game at the Oracle Arena. This was also Canada’s first-ever title. After losing the opening game they proceeded to rack up three consecutive wins including a hugely impressive game three win where Kawhi Leonard showed why they will struggle to keep him going forward with a great all-round display which included 30 points & 7 rebounds.

The Warriors who had won 3 of the last 4 finals momentarily looked like getting back into the series with a narrow game 5 win, however without Kevin Durant, they always looked second best even in that win, and it was no surprise when Toronto clinched their third away win and the series in game 6.
