The 2019 NBA Finals got off to a flying with the Raptors defying the odds to win game 1. They were aided by the absence of Kevin Durant and also having home-court advantage, however, nothing should be taken away from them and their first-half performance was impressive, to say the least. Although all eyes were on Stephen Curry and Kawai Leonard it was Pascal Siakam who stole the show with 32 points, and 8 rebounds. His shooting was incredible given the pressure and he led the game with 14-17 and 2-3 on three-pointers. Kawai Leonard chipped in 23 points And although Stephen Currie & Klay Thompson had good games the rest of the starters chipped in little leading to the bench to keep Golden State in the game.

So an impressive start for the Raptors, however the Warriors did hang in there despite not playing particularly well which should give them some comfort going into the 2nd game at Jurassic Park before the series moves back to San Francisco, where Kevin Durant may be available.
