The Pistons pull off an impressive weekend

Pistons 125 – 122 Hawks

This was a very even match-up Pistons trailed by 2 going into the 3rd quarter, who then took over gaining a 5 point advantage. Hawks were overall a better team in 3 of the 4 quarters and looked like thew were going to take the win in  the final 3 and a half minutes of the game. Pistons with only 1 timeout remaining were starting to look cold. 43 seconds left of the game pistons were down by 2, Drummond drew a foul and secured 2 points from the free throw line to tie it up. Young took a difficult shot from in the D with tight coverage and couldn’t sink it for the Hawks. Pistons used their final timeout and Jackson created some room and passed it out to Maker who drained the 3 for the pistons. Hawks with 16 seconds on the clock had the a very messy final possession and with a questionable deep attempt from young followed with an attempt by Carter with heavy coverage were unable to tie it up.

Reggie Jackson continued his hot streak with 32 points and 8 assists and 2 steals. Accompanied with a very strong performances from Andre Drummond with a dominating 21 rebounds 26 points and 5 steals, and Blake Griffin with 15 points.

Pistons 119 – 96 Heat

Heat came out strong but just simply could not keep up with the pistons in the 2nd and 4th quarter. another great performance on rebounds for Drummond, backed up with a very impressive offensive performance by Ish smith with 22 points and 9 assists. the the majority of the other points being shared out between Griffin with 20, kennard with 17, Galloway with 17, Jackson with 13 and Drummond with 12.

This weekend leaves Pistons settled in 7th place in the Eastern conference and has set them in good stead for a playoff position.
