Golden State & in particular Stephen Curry showed why they are favourites to make it three NBA Final wins in a row with a hard fought game 6 win over Houston, despite Kevin Durant missing the game through injury. The Warriors started Andrew Bogut in Durant’s place – but he contributed exactly zero points and it was left to Curry who produced his best performance of the postseason (well best second half anyway) to see off a feisty Rockets team, who really should have won this one.

Stephan Curry scored zero points in the first half but his overall performance was the difference maker as he hit:
33 second-half points.
23 in the fourth quarter.
16 in the final five minutes to effectively win the game.

With the scores tied at the half and the Rockets leading by 5 going into the 4th this late burst of scoring was enough to guide them to a 118- 113 win to take the series 4-2.
This final game hinged on the benches and although James Harden & Chris Paul combined for 62 points the bench only chipped in 17 points compared to 33 from Golden State. A better bench effort both in points and court time may have made all the difference.
So its Golden State who make it to their 5th consecutive Conference Final and they will await the winners of game 7 between Denver v Portland.
