Week 10 was quite tumultuous with two of the remaining unbeaten teams losing and this is reflected in the rankings with four changes. They are now the highest ranked tow loss team and their path to the playoffs is still wide open. Brian Kelly looks like an inspired signing and he should be in contention for coach of the year. His old team could sure have used him this time around and speaking of whom…
Welcome Back
Notre dame is finally back in the rankings after ending Clemson’s unbeaten start. They are one of four three-loss teams ranked this week, but arguably the one with the best resume. Had it not been for those two one-score losses we would have been discussing them in the same sentence as LSU as CFP dark horses. Still, they still have time to make a play for an “at large” place in one of the New Year Bowls.
The full top 25 is below and it will be interesting to see how this compares to the CFP rankings which are due out soon.
