2018 Camellia Bowl Sun Belt v Mid Am
This is not one of the more glamorous of this seasons Bowl matchups and even though we expect a close, low scoring game this should be a defensive battle which can often be more entertaining than a blowout win.
Georgia Southern is on the fringe of having their best ever season since moving up from FCS Football and they sure love to run the ball. Their 3 losses this season all came when they couldn’t move it on the ground – however with the exception of the shocking Louisiana-Monroe loss, they have done ok and thus they are justifiable narrow favourites.
Eastern Michigan had a horrible run – losing 4 on the trot by 3 points but thereafter they won 5 out of 6 including a good win over Toledo to add to that early season upset of Purdue. They have the better wins but also worse losses and although their defence measures up well against a run first team we think they will lose another close one here.
