Love Island’s Amber says Greg O’Shea did end the relationship via text

Love Island winners 2019 Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea recently ended their relation but Greg claims the break up was mutual and it was not over text. However, Amber has hit back and said it was Greg who ended things and it was by text.

Greg appeared RTE’s The Late Late Show in Ireland on Friday night, and said it was not a solo decision.

On the show he said: “I’ll be open and honest… me and Amber have been chatting the last couple of days, over phone calls – this whole thing about a text just isn’t true.

“So, we’re mad about each other, what’s not to be mad about? She’s gorgeous, smart, funny personality, she’s the Queen of Love Island for a reason. But you need to be realistic about the situation.

“She lives in the UK, every brand wants to work with her, every event wants her there, of course she deserves all of it and I decided to come back to Ireland and do my thing here.”

Speaking on Loose Women, Amber said: “From my point of view, I kind of still wanted to make it work, and there was a call a few days prior just chatting, not specifically to do with that.

“But definitely on that day [the relationship ended], it was like a text.

“We were texting each other… Basically all I wanted was a bit of effort from him to come to London or Newcastle to come and see me, and I just was like, ‘Oh, I’m going to have to give up if you don’t put the effort in’, and then he was like, ‘Okay, bye’.

“I think there was a bit of miscommunication, but I think if you don’t want to be with someone, you don’t want to be with someone.”

Amber is keeping herself strong and said she is “disappointed that it’s over” but said she is busy and will be fine…
