Disney’s The Little Mermaid on Hold due to Covid outbreak

The Filming of Disney’s highly anticipated adaptation of the 1989 animation “The Little Mermaid” has been halted due to an outbreak of coronavirus amongst the crew.

Filming is currently taking place on the Italian island of Sardinia, where now approximately 300 Cast and Crew are being told to self-isolate in their hotel rooms.

The Film, which is set to star Halle Bailey as Ariel was guessed to be released in December 2021 but if this may be looking unlikely due to the further delays.
