Due to all the issues going on in Russia and Ukraine, with Russia starting a war on Ukraine mainly, FIFA and UEFA have decided to banned all Russian Clubs and National Teams from all competitions.
This is due to Russia invading Ukraine and causing a war, therefore they have taken action on their sport and not allowed Russia to compete anymore.
Teams like Spartak Moscow have now been kicked out of the competition they were in, for example, this team has recently been kicked out of the Europa League. Not only this, UEFA has also ended its sponsorships with Russian energy Giants.
FIFA and UEFA said:
“Football is fully united here and in full solidarity with all the people affected in Ukraine, Both presidents hope that the situation in Ukraine will improve significantly and rapidly so that football can again be a vector for unity and peace amongst people.”
