Yesterday(27th February 2022) Liverpool went up against Chelsea in the EFL final. Everyone thought this would be a great battle to see who is the better team… It did not disappoint!
The match went into extra time with both teams scoring no goals, however, one team was in top form throughout and managed to win via a penalty shootout!
Liverpool was in top form throughout the duration of the match and kept getting unlucky with chances, it is said Liverpool had 20 shots to Chelsea’s 11 shots and had more possession than Chelsea according to stats shown.
After the full-time whistle and extra time whistle was blown, Liverpool took Chelsea the whole way and managed to beat them on penalties.
A total of 22 penalties were taken and the last one was taken by Kepa Arrizabalaga. He went on to miss the shot that made Liverpool win the EFL Championship!
