The iconic “Last Christmas” video by Wham! has been remastered in 4k, and it’s amazing to say the least!
The track was originally released 35 years ago in December 1984, and Sony Music Entertainment has now remastered the original footage in 4K. In all honesty, it’s quite strange to watch. After watching it on the TV for the past however many years in the awful quality it was shot in, and now seeing it in quality comparable to today’s technology, it’s pretty astonishing. Parts of the video had me questioning whether they got some new actors in to fill in rolls, and I had to watch the videos side by side to be sure, but it seems its the complete original video.

A reviewer said: “the indoor scenes and snow ball fights look incredible, especially when we’re used to seeing blurry and fuzzy footage from the ‘80s,” which I couldn’t agree more with. Not only has the clarity of the video improved, the colours are more “correct” which is amazing! Good job, Sony.
