We are getting closer and closer to the return of The Great British Bake Off…
The Great British Bake Off (GBBO) is a baking battle where baking fans will compete to be crowned the UK’s Best Amateur Baker. Each week the bakers face a different baking skill which comes more difficult as the show goes on.
Here is everything you need to know about this year’s show.
When is it starting?
GBBO 2019 will start on August 27th at 8pm! The date was revealed via Twitter yesterday.

Will Great British Bake Off be back on Channel 4?
Channel 4 has secured the GBBO for at least three more series which means it will host the much loved show until 2021 maybe longer!
Channel 4 boss Ian Katz said in a statement: “Over the last two years The Great British Bake Off has become one of the best loved programmes on Channel 4, embodying the warmth, mischief and inclusivity for which the channel is known.”
Who are the judges and presenters?
The trailer shows Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood will be returning to our TV screens and Noel Fielding and Sandi Toksvig will be joining them. Noel and Sandi will be presenting whilst Prue and Paul judge the contestants work!
How long will it last?
The show is expected to run for 10 weeks with the finally most likely to be in November 2019.
The line up of contestants has not been announced yet but with so little time before it starts again we are sure it will not be long until we find out.
