EA at Risk of losing Partnership with FIFA?

After 30 years of launching FIFA with EA Sports, one of the most popular football games in the world, millions upon billions recognize this game and buy the game every year, is now at risk! It is said that EA Sports and FIFA have walked away from a licensing deal!

Reports suggest that FIFA requested EA to double the amount of money they will pay yearly, from $150 million per year to $1 billion every four years!

While all this has happened, it’s believed that EA Sports have already thought of a new name for the FIFA Series and have already trademarked a phrase for the new game that will be released in a years time! The name they have trademarked is EA Sports F.C!

In a statement, the general manager of EA Sports, Cam Weber said;

“As we look ahead, we’re also exploring the idea of renaming our global EA SPORTS football games,” Weber said. “This means we’re reviewing our naming rights agreement with FIFA, which is separate from all our other official partnerships and licenses across the football world.”

FIFA responded to this with their own statement and said this;

“FIFA is bullish and optimistic about its long-term future in gaming and esports following a comprehensive and strategic assessment of the gaming and interactive entertainment market,”

As of right now, the next FIFA, will no longer be called FIFA and could be named EA Sports F.C! Would you like this name and buy the game?
