David Harbour was born on the 10th of April 1975 in White Plains, New York. Harbour is an only child, he attended Byram Hills High School in New York.
Harbour started his Acting career in 1999 on Broadway, he made his first T.V. appearance the same year. He appeared in the show Law & Order as a waiter called Mike. He again appeared in the show in 2008. Between then he appeared in the shows “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”, “Hack”, “Law & Order: Criminal Intent” and “The Unit”.
He further went to have minor roles in “Lie to Me” and “Royal Pains”. In 2011 Harbour then played a recurring role in “Pan Am” where he played Roger Anderson, a British MI6 agent. Harbour appeared in the show in 6 episodes between 2011 and 2012.
Harbour then went onto to have recurring roles in “The Newsroom”, “Rake”, “Manhattan”, and “State of Affairs”.
In 2016 Harbour landed the role he is most known for, Jim Hopper, the chief of Hawkins Police Department and guardian of Eleven, in the Sci-fi Horror series “Stranger Things“. Since the show, he has appeared in shows such as “Drunk History”, “Animals”, “Saturday Night Live” and is due to appear in an upcoming episode of “The Simpsons”.
Harbours’ Film career launched in 2004 when he appeared in the film “Kinsey”. Harbour has had some excellent roles over the years including Hellboy in “Hellboy” the 2019 film and is due appear as the Red guardian in the film “Black Widow” due to be released in 2020.
