Ant McPartlin is returning to work with partner Dec on Friday 18th January after taking time off for rehab. The pair will be reunited at auditions for Britain’s Got Talent at London Palladium.
The TV presenter has been out of the spotlight for several months following his addition and arrest in March 2018. The news that he was making his way back to work was confirmed by Good Morning Britain’s Richard Arnold on Thursday.

Ant pulled out of hosting Saturday Night Takeaway in March after he was arrested for drink driving. He was fined £85,000 and given a 20-month driving ban after pleading guilty. He announced immediately that he would be taking time out to seek treatment for addition. He had previously been in rehab for struggling with painkiller addiction that stemmed from a knee operation.
Dec went on to present I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here! with Holly Willoughby instead of Ant. Dec also went solo to present the last few episodes of Saturday Night Takeaway which will be postponed until 2020.
In August 2018, Ant made a statement to say he was doing “very well” with his recovery despite splitting from his wife.
The duo first worked together as child actors in a children’s show Byker Grove, playing PJ and Duncan, before moving into pop music and then presenting. They have won many awards and made OBEs at Buckingham Palace in 2017.
