Week Nine is a bit quieter than usual with no less than six teams on a bye week. Still, there is plenty of interesting match-ups as the regular season moves into its second half. Heading the reduced bill is a rematch of last season’s NFC Divisional clash between the LA Rams & Tampa. If we get a similarly close game it will certainly make up for the lack of games this week. Tom Brady is not having the season he would have been expecting, however he has a habit of rising to the occasion in big games and we think he will do enough in this one to get the win.
The Eagles remain unbeaten and will expect this to continue. They are at the Texans who are rebuilding after trading away most of their stars. Still in this topsy-turvy season who knows? Philadelphia has never started 8-0 before so we could witness a little bit of history on Thursday Night.
Also worth looking out for is Green Bays’ trip to Detroit. They are on a four-game losing streak and dropping to 3-6 would leave them with a mountain to climb. Still, they only have themselves to blame given they eschewed adding WR help before the transfer deadline. Aaron Rodgers is getting plenty of flak, however, given the dearth of offensive talent at his disposal we feel he is doing ok.
