Champions League has started again. PSG has returned to face off against Benfica in a game that should have seen PSG win the contest as they have got all the best upcoming talents and the best players. The likes of Neymar, Messi and Mbappe! This didn’t happen however as PSG drew to Benfica in the 4th game out of 6. Only 2 games remaining and PSG are looking like they are heading through no matter what, however Mbappe is not happy!
On the 11th of October 2022, PSG faced off against Benfica in the 4th game of the Champions League Group Stages. The hosts PSG were the favourites as they seemingly have the better side.
The match kicked off without Messi and PSG in the 17th minute got a lucky call as a handball was seen.
Mbappe took PSG’s penalty when awarded and slotted it home. Making the score 1-0 to PSG.
This lead lasted until the 70th minute when Benfica managed to score past PSG. Leaving the game to end 1-1.
Mbappe seemed betrayed throughout this contest and has admitted that he is wanting to leave the club again after this game. Clubs like Real Madrid are willing to sign the young footballer.
Could this be the chance Mbappe needs to find a new club?
