Can Chelsea Get in the Top 5?

Chelsea haven’t exactly been performing like they should for a top tier team in the Premier League, they came 3rd last season under Sarri and are currently 15th in the league after 2 games, one draw and one loss. Chelsea haven’t been themselves since Lampard has join Chelsea, however there is always room for improvement but right now it’s looking like Lampard will be lucky if he keeps his job there by the end of the year. A 4-0 loss to Manchester United and a 1-1 draw to Leicester City, however there is one star that has shined since Chelsea started playing him and Lampard has noticed.

Mason Mount has been incredible since joining Chelsea and he is very lucky that Lampard has decided to play his young players and allowing them to have a start in his new team. The 20-year-old has started to show some potential at Chelsea and could be the centre attacking midfielder they have always needed but never used till now. In the game against Leicester City, Mount was the reason that Chelsea was in the lead, however the lead didn’t last as the drew and now are still near the bottom of the league.

Lampard will need to start to play the team he thinks will perform for him instead of playing youngsters, keep Mount in the team since he is performing but play players that can be around mount and can provide what he needs, for example Oliver Giroud performed well with Mount behind him. Lampard needs to be given some time to think which player works well with other players and each player’s preferred position. Once all of this has been found out, Lampard will be able to have a great team that will perform each week.
