James Gunns anticipated Suicide Squad (2016) sequel, The Suicide Squad has received its second trailer titled Rain. The second trailer for the DC follow-up sees a focus on Idris Elbas newcomer, Bloodsport, and within the first 10 seconds addresses the uncertainty of Henry Cavils Man of Steel returning to the DCEU.
The trailer opens with a hero shot of Bloodsport, quickly followed by the apprehended mercenary scrubbing the floors of his prison residence. Returning as Amanda Waller, Viola Davis narrates:
He’s in prison for putting Superman in the ICU with a Kryptonite bullet
The last time we saw a glimpse of Kal-El in the DCEU was as a faceless torso during the post credits scene of 2019s Shazam. Fans have since speculated whether Cavil will return as the Kryptonian, and for once, Warner Bros seem to be listening to the fans by finally acknowledging Supermans future – however uncertain that may be.
The explosive second trailer sees expected fan-favorite King Shark quoting Bambis iconic BIRD!, as well as our first glimpse at the so called villain Starro and some of the dynamic between the new crew! Remember though – don’t get too attached!
