Introduction

The episode starts out showing an intense dirt bike race with show Conrad and one of his friends who is a surgeon taking part in the race, it then shows you this is an actual race for medical staff members. Together they cross the finish line in first place, they are then greeted by what they call ‘ a random drunk guy’. The random drunk was not paying attention to where he was walking at all, who take a very bad fall that leaves him in pain. We find out his name is Hank and Conrad is quick to point out that Hank now has a compound fracture.

The next scene take us back to the hospital and we see a returning patient Lily who is simply coming to collect a prescription Nic tries to have a few words as she is slightly worried about the young woman wanting to make sure she fully okay.

Meeting Louisa

We then get to meet what the hospital call a transporter and there duty is to transport patient around taking them for fresh air and such things like that, we find out the most popular one name is Louisa. We find out the young transporter is studying to become a doctor however she seems to be suffering with back pain.

Mandatory Meeting

All residents and all nurses have been called to a mandatory meeting in the hospital, and it about money and charging for the medical cost within the hospital and that they need to charge more, this is where the person tells them they need to be more proactive with billing and tells them to think ‘CUTE. Code up to excellence’. Conrad ends up walking out and telling his fellow peers to enjoy.

Shaky hands

The next scene takes us to Dr Bell and another doctor talking when then Dr Bell hands begins to shake, he was very quick to put it a halt, he take this time to ask the other doctor what would be the best course of action to stop his ‘ friends ‘ shaking.

Louisa back

Louisa ends up taking a fall due to her back and Conrad is insistent on giving her a checkup wanting to make sure everything was okay, in the middle of the check up, Conrad, Devon and Nic are rudely interrupted by the woman who is called Barbour, she the woman in charge of charging more. She ask about the insurance and other expensive things while Conrad clearly wants her out so he can finish his check up on Louisa. Louisa ends up walking out however Conrad chases her down.

She ends up falling and Devon and Conrad are quick to get to work, making sure to give her the best treatment possible. She is taken to an MRI where Barbour comes back and demands that she is removed from it but the doctors ignore her because they wanted to make sure she was okay.

Turns out she has cancer wrapped around a bunch of organs, which is a very risky surgery and she could die.

2 million dollars

Louisa treatment and rehab, will cost the hospital as she is an undocumented immigrant and has no health insurance. However that doesn’t stop Conrad from finding a way to cheat the system. Mina and small group who have been working hard to treat Louisa. They get her into surgery which comes out without a hitch. However she isn’t able to get out of bed which is a big issue and that unfortunaly lead the hospital to pay 2 million for her recovery. She will therefore become what the hospital calls a perma patient.

The CEO of the hospital confronts Conrad on his little victory and she threatens with him going to be very badly understaffed for the next 12 months.

The Review

This episode really showed kindness to everyone and anyone and that no patient should be treated differently and that everyone deserves to get the upmost care no matter what. The episode was enjoyable it really took you into a different point of view of a hospital. where you get to take a look more into the money side of things. It gives you a new form of interest.
