Amber Rose Gill and Greg O’Shea have been crowned the winners of Love Island 2019.
Everyone has been surprised to the end of the series as Greg and Amber has won Love Island. Everyone had expected Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague to win after stealing the nations hearts.
Amber Gill is a beauty therapist and model from Newcastle whilst Greg is a rugby player from Ireland.
Congratulating the winning couple, Fury added: “Amber has had a hard time in here, she deserves everything that’s coming to her.”
During the final episode, Amber said: “It would be fair to say I’ve had quite a journey in the villa this summer. There have been so many highs, but I’ve still had some quite low lows,”
“[Greg] came in in the 11th hour; just when I thought there was nothing left for me in the villa, everything changed. He picked me up when I was at my most vulnerable, and helped me rediscover my smile.”
She added: “It’s been absolutely wild… a rollercoaster of emotion.”
Love Island final places are:
Fourth – Maura and Curtis
Third – Ovie and India
Second – Molly-Mae and Tommy
First – Greg and Amber
The shows camera caught the moment after the winners were announced, Mauras looked in disbelief with the results. However, we were just as shocked as her with Tommy and Molly not winning.
@LoveIsland So Maura’s face was a picture when the win was announced 🙈 everyone smiley, happy, excited, buzzing, then there was Maura. Made me giggle anyways 😂 #LoveIsland #LoveIslandFinal #Maurasface pic.twitter.com/NbcryiUpPm

Amber entered the villa in day one and had a rollercoaster of a journey. She came unlucky in love but let it go and ended up finding a man who treated her well.
Everyone is praising Amber for how well she had dealt with the situation with former contestant Michael.
Ladies I think what we can all learn from Amber and Love Island is that you should never ever stay with a shitty boy who does not know how lucky he is to have you. Eventually someone who adores you and deserves you will turn up #loveisland

After Amber and Greg were announced the winners, they were told to pick one envelope each. There was two envelopes, one contained money and one was empty; whoever picked the money had to decided to share the money or keep it for himself. Of course Greg shared the £50K with Amber. Greg penned a poem for Amber, in which he said he loved that she was “unique”.
This years series was a massive hit with millions of viewers tuning in to watch the show. Next year will be even bigger with two series a year!
