Virgin Media and O2 Join Forces!

Mobile operator O2 and Virgin Media are going to merge company’s and create the UK’s largest entertainment and telecoms firms! These two firms have now agreed terms to join up and become a great firm. O2 is one of the largest phone company’s in the UK and has almost about 34 million users, as Virgin Media has about 6 million broadband and cable TV users and another 3 million mobile users, however O2 also provide the networks for other mobile networks, such as Tesco Mobile, Giffgaff and Sky Mobile. Why would these two mobile operators join forces?

The main reason these two are joining forces are to rival the one of the best company’s in the UK, BT will have to deal with another competitor if this all goes well. The tie-up will create a major rival to BT when they bring both platforms together. Analysts says customers were set to benefit by having access to more and more services. Unlike BT, they haven’t got much to offer, but once these two company’s join forces… they will bring more services than BT do.
