The Champions League is now over, with the winners being Real Madrid and the runners-up being Liverpool FC. This Champions League was taken over by Real Madrid and with one man in particular.
Real Madrid is the new Champions of Europe after defeating the best Liverpool side to date 1-0 in the final, without some players added. The game ended with Vini Jr. scoring the opening goal in the 54th minute and Liverpool on the attack the whole game.
Karim Benzema is the man that everyone loved this season. Benzema was in incredible form this year in the Champions League, scoring 15 goals in 12 Champions League games and proving that age is just a number when playing football!
So far, the Ballon d’Or has not yet been decided. Rumour has it, Benzema is the favorite to get this award as he has been outstanding this season for Real Madrid and France internationals! The team of the season for the Champions League was released and it featured Mbappe, Benzema, Modric, Van Dijk, and Courtois, however no Messi or Ronaldo.

The games in this year’s Champions League were incredible, with Real Madrid managing to beat the odds to win the Champions League after coming back against City. Beating Liverpool so they could not gain the treble and or quad trophy, as they lost the Premier League, this was named the treble!
