A massive win has been pulled off by Saudi Arabia in the World Cup against Argentina! A massive comeback for them and an incredible chance to go through to the round of 16 now!
Saudi Arabia have beaten Messi’s team Argentina in the opening game of the world cup for them.
Ranked 51st in the world and managing to come back from 1-0 down in the first half due to a penalty given and Messi scored it!
This loss could have made Messi lose his chance at winning the World Cup this year!
Argentina were the favourites to win the World Cup after coming off an impressive 36 game winning streak that involved them winning the 2021 Copa America.
This has changed the way Argentina will play as this is the team that people thought were going to go the distance.
Argentina will now have to beat Poland and Mexico to even stand a chance to get through the world cup.
This has now been made harder for them and Messi will be trying his best to at least make it through due to this being his last world cup!
