It’s well known that the Brooklyn rapper, 6ix9ine “snitched” on his former “blood crew” and, and cooperated with police; a big no-no in the eyes of other gang members.
Rappers like Snoop Dogg and Meek Mill have made it known that they don’t respect 6ix9ine anymore. On the other hand, Tekashi’s friend Tory Lanez empathizes for him. During a recent interview with Complex, he said that regardless of what people may think of him, he was a funny charismatic person.

Tory said he doesn’t know if he will do music with Tekashi when he is released from custody.
“I really don’t know, I don’t know how he’s going to feel when he comes out.”
People assumed that Tory Lanez supporting Tekashi meant that he “condones snitching”. In an Instragram post he said:
“Showing love to somebody who you made records with is VERY different than condoning someone’s actions.”
