Loki will follow the returning Tom Hiddlestons titular God of mischief following the events of Avengers: Endgame. Season 1 premiered on June 9, 2021 (2 days earlier than initial premiere date) and ran for 6 episodes with run times varying between 40-50 minutes each.

Overview

After breaking the timeline even further during the events of Avengers: Endgame, Tom Hiddleston returns as Loki for Marvels third Phase 4 instalment of Disney+ shows. Escaping the Avengers custody using the conveniently misplaced tesseract, a recently defeated Loki is soon captured by the Time Variance Authority and must stand trail for his crimes against the sacred timeline.

The first season was written by Michael Waldron (Rick & Morty, Community) and Directed by Kate Herron (Daybreak, Sex Education). Loki season 1 introduces the Time Variance Authority and will see Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and Mobius M. Mobius (Owen Wilson) team-up in this timeline warping buddy cop crime thriller. Season 2 is currently in development.
