So, where were we?

2018s Halloween saw a fiery climax with Michael Myers seemingly trapped in the basement of a burning building after a confrontation with Laurie and her lineage. With the help of her Daughter and Granddaughter, a wounded Laurie stumbles out to the road as they attempt to flag down help. Which is exactly where the sequels trailer picks up from.

Mob vs Myers

As the Strodes escape in the back of a pickup truck, Laurie screams at passing fire truck en route to Myers burning prison. The timeline skipping Halloween (1978) sequel, Halloween (2018) was met with critical and commercial praise, breaking the record for highest grossing slasher film accumulating $255 million worldwide.

The inevitable continuation of the franchise sees Myers return from the fire and continue his hunt for Laurie, though according to one particular shot, this time Laurie has backup.

Old names new faces

As we know, we’ll see the main cast returning from the previous entry as well as some familiar older names from the start of this canonical Halloween timeline. Paralleling the original Halloween 2 (1981) Haddonfield Memorial Hospital will see a return in Halloween Kills. Tommy Doyle was first seen minded by Laurie in 1978 as a child, and portrayed as an adult in the now redacted cannon by Paul Rudd – this time though, Doyle will be played by Anthony Michael Hall. Nancy Stephens will return as Nurse Marion, Kyle Richards will return as Lindsey Wallace and Lonnie Elam will be played by Robert Longstreet

The film will again be directed by David Gordon Green who co-wrote the script with Danny McBide and Scott Teems. The Universal picutre Halloween Ends will see its release on October 14th, 2022
