Tampa Bay is continuing to add depth to their secondary with the addition of former 1st round draft pick Keanu Neal. The Buccaneers’ secondary was plagued by injuries last season, and that lack of depth finally caught up with them when they lost narrowly in the playoffs. He joins Logan Ryan on the depth chart and will switch back to his preferred position after his one year experiment at Linebacker with the Dallas Cowboys.
He will most likely be back up to Antoine Winfield Jr. however if he recaptures his 2020 form then he could be in line for quite a bit of playing time. He missed most of the 2018 & 2019 seasons with injury but in 2020 he played 15 games recording a sack and an interception.
He didn’t make much of an impression in 2021 and it was clear from watching the gameplay that his best position is Safety. Having said that the ability to fill in at linebacker will be useful if injuries strike again. He is a great addition and now Tampa can concentrate on adding depth elsewhere in the upcoming draft.
When healthy, new #Bucs Safety Keanu Neal is one of the hardest hitters in the #NFL & very athletic… he will help fill the void left by Jordan Whitehead (an equally passionate player)
Neal is also a 100% effort guy
Very Bob Sanders-esque overall

With Tom Brady back and reloaded secondary Tampa look set for another strong showing in 2022 and they remain our predicted winner of the NFC South.
