NFL 2022 Week 13 Results Eagles 11-1

The Eagles marched on in week thirteen moving to 11-1, pretty much sewing up the NFC East in the process.  They now only need a couple more wins to sew up the No 1 seed and on this performance that shouldn’t be too difficult. They will still be keeping an eye on the 49ers & Vikings though, both of whom won.

The Niners looked very impressive forcing 4 turnovers to ensure the win. They had to rely on their 3rd string QB Brock Purdy who was called upon as Jimmy Garoppolo has a broken foot. Purdy who was the last player drafted showed a lot of promise and with this squad around him he might be good enough to steer them deep into the playoffs.  The Vikings looked far less impressive against the Jets but ended up winning another one-score game to keep their grip on the NFC North.

Thursday Night Football

Buffalo 24 @ New England 10

The Bills handled the Patriots will more ease than the score suggests dominating time of possession and having over 100 yards more offense. The balance of power in the AFC East has well and truly shifted now and this was the Bills’ third win in a row over the Patriots.

Sunday Early Games

Pittsburgh 19 @ Atlanta 16

Green Bay 28 @ Chicago 19

Jacksonville 14 @ Detroit 40

New York Jets 22 @ Minnesota 27

Washington 20 @ New York Giants 20 (OT)

Tennessee 10 @ Philadelphia 35

Denver 9 @ Baltimore 10

Cleveland 27 @ Houston 14

Denver lost another one-score game.  They went down to a last-minute TD for yet another heartbreaking defeat. Their defense once again comes out with a lot of credit forcing two turnovers. Russell Wilson had another quiet game and one wonders what is going through the minds of the front office who gave up so much to get him.  Hopefully, things will work out for him next year.

Speaking of veteran QBs, Aaron Rodgers finally got the packers back to winning ways, engineering another fourth-quarter comeback. The Bears looked quite good for three-quarters of the game and Justin Fields actually looked quite good racking up 254 yards passing and adding another 71 on the ground.

Sunday Late Games

Seattle 27 @ LA Rams 23

Miami 17 @ San Francisco 33

Kansas City 24 @ Cincinnati 27

LA Chargers 20 @ LV Raiders 27

The Bengals won the game of the week with a great fourth-quarter comeback. Both these teams are nailed on for the postseason and we might just have witnessed a preview of the AFC Championship game.

Sunday Night Game

Indianapolis 19 @ Dallas 54

The Colts’ dreadful season continues! They made a fist of it early but a disastrous run of turnovers in the second half soon put the game well out of reach.  They turned the ball over four possessions in a row and that changed the scoreboard from 19-21 to 19-54!

Monday Night Football

New Orleans 16 @ Tampa Bay 17

Tampa kept their playoff hopes alive with a vintage Brady comeback. They looked down and out at 16-3 down and the clock fast running out in the fourth. However, two long drives from TB12 in the last three minutes saw them snatch an unlikely win.  That was his third this season!
