Kyler Murray’s Pro Day Nothing New To See Here

Kyler Murray’s Pro Day Nothing New To See Here

Well, Kyler Murray’s pro-day at Oklahoma is now history and although he did nothing wrong, it still leaves questions regarding his status as the prospective number one draft pick.

First the positives – he looked good in the preprepared passing drills showing that he can play under centre. His completion rate of 61/67 is okay and that included a couple of drops by his receivers.
The not so positive is that he came in lighter than he was at the combine, given his size he may need every pound to protect from the NFL hits you will take (especially if the Cardinals draft him and don’t improve their existing offensive line). He also refused to be measured height wise again and felt in his own words it was unnecessary to take part in the speed and agility drills. Not quite sure whether this is confidence or arrogance and whichever it shows complacency.

Only time will tell but right now it still looks likely that the hype will continue and the chances of him going number one to the Cardinals remains high.
