AFC South 2021 Season Preview All Eyes On Trevor Lawrence

The AFC South may not be the most competitive of divisions this year, however, it will be keenly watched as it will feature one Trevor Lawrence making his debut. Lawrence is one of the most hyped (justifiably) QBs to enter the NFL since Peyton Manning and it will be interesting to see how he fairs with this supporting cast. The Jags could be the most unpredictable team in the league this year, but their future looks bright.

The divisional should be fought out between the Colts & The Titans, and it could be really close. While the Houston Texans could struggle to get a win with what looks like a threadbare squad and poor morale. We think they will be picking first in the 2022 draft.

AFC South Predicted Finish.

1st Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans are our tip for the division (just) and although they lost a lot in free agency their draft and additions might have improved them. They will lean on Derrick Henry to provide their ground attack and will hope that the additions on defense pan out. Still, their only real competition should come from the Colts and double-digit wins looks likely.

2nd Indianapolis Colts

The Colts have had a few injury worries but hopefully, both Carson Wentz and Quinton Nelson will be fit for week one. They had a chance at knocking the Bills off in the Wildcard game last year but that was with Philip Rivers at QB. Much will depend on whether or not Carson Wentz recovers his form of old. If he does then they could be a real postseason threat.

3rd Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jags look to have a promising future with a franchise QB in place and some talented young players on offense It’s too much to expect them to challenge this year, but they are moving in the right direction. DJ Chark & Laviska Shenault Jr. should have good s

4th Houston Texans

This leaves the Houston Texans, who are in a bit of disarray. We would say they are in a rebuild, however, we are not sure even that applies. When you let the likes of JJ Watt & Will Fuller walk you expect some reciprocal action to replace them. However, the Texans top free agent signing was a Punter! It could be a long painful season for their faithful fans. Still, the no 1 draft pick next year will be some consolation.

AFC South Final Wins Total

Tennessee Titans  11-6

Indianapolis Colts 11-6

Jacksonville Jaguars 5-12

Houston Texans 2-15

So there you have it our predictions for the AFC South which looks like the most unpredictable division in the AFC. This doesn’t guarantee a Superbowl slot though!
