The 2022 NFL season kicks off on Thursday night and as per usual, the scheduler has picked a cracking game to get us started. As per usual the game features the current Super Bowl champion, and this year they are up against a team more than capable of taking their crown.
The Rams having home-field advantage will start as slight favourites and should be pretty much at full strength. Their only concern is WR Van Jefferson who still has knee issues. Still, with free agency signing Allen Robinson II available Matt Stafford will still be spoiled with potential targets.

They have lost a few players in free agency most notably Von Miller & Darious Williams and will little draft capital they have had to resort to veteran replacements. They also lost OT Andrew Whitworth who retired in March. Still, they did add Inside Line Backer Bobby Wagner from divisional rivals the Seahawks. If nothing else he will stiffen their run defense.
Buffalo has no issues with their expected starters and Von Miller will be relishing getting after his old teammate Matt Stafford. He had 5 sacks in eight games for the Rams last season. They are also likely to start this year’s first-round draft pick Kaiir Elam in a slightly new look defense which also includes Free agency signing DaQuan Jones. Overall they might be even better than last year on this side of the ball.
Who Wins?
Tough call but we think that Buffalo look just the stronger and we are tipping them to get off to a winning start. They might need it as their next six games and not much easier.
