2019 NFL Draft Round Two Plenty Of Talent Left

2019 NFL Draft Round Two Plenty Of Talent Left

As in most years in 2019 there were far more players worthy of a first-round position than spaces available and the quality OTs left could cause a few trades near the top of round 2.  Overall we don’t think the following players should have to wait too long before their names are called.

Drew Lock, QB, Missouri. A first round pick on many mock drafts he won’t be here in round three – Denver Calling?

Jawaan Taylor, OT, Florida. But for the knee injury, he’s gone early round one. Someone will take the chance early in round two.

Dalton Risner, OT, Kansas State.  Versatile OL Man

Cody Ford, OG/OT, Oklahoma. We had Cody Ford down as a borderline first-round pick. Any team looking for a guard should have him on their board.

Greg Little, OT, Ole Miss. Potentially starting NFL left tackle

Nasir Adderley, S, Delaware & Juan Thornhill, S, Virginia.  Surprisingly two safeties went in the 1st round and neither was Adderley or Thornhill, Both won’t be around long. Thornhill can play Corner too.

Anthony Nelson, EDGE, Iowa & Zach Allen, EDGE/DT, Boston College. Both talented enough to have sneaked into round one in less defense-heavy drafts

Greedy Williams, CB, LSU & Byron Murphy, CB, Washington. Both could easily have gone round one. Plenty of teams need Corners

A.J. Brown, WR, Ole Miss. D.K. Metcalf, WR, Ole Miss. Hakeem Butler, WR, Iowa State.  Brown is a great Slot Guy while Metcalf & Butler are huge target men all could have gone first round easily.

A few teams who traded back into the first may be regretting what they gave up right about now.
