2019 NFL Draft Round One Trades

Lets Swap

Below is a breakdown of the flurry of trades which took place yesterday in Round One plus our opinion on them.

Steelers & Broncos trade for the No. 10 pick

Pittsburgh received: Pick No. 10 selected Devin Bush

Denver received:
2019 first-round pick (No. 20; select TE Noah Fant)
2019 second-round pick (No. 52)
2020 third-round pick

Good deal for both Steelers got a need and Denver got a bargain in Noah Fant and extra picks

Packers & Seahawks trade for the No. 21 Pick

Packers received: No. 21; selected Safety Darnell Savage

Seahawks receive:
2019 first-round pick (No. 30; traded on to the Giants)
2019 fourth-round pick (No. 114)
2019 fourth-round pick (No. 118)

Oh dear, the Packers gave up a lot here for a player they probably could have taken at 30 if not in round two. Let’s hope he is as good as they think

Eagles & Ravens Trade for the 22nd Pick:

Philadelphia gets No. 22; select OT Andre Dillard

Ravens receive:
2019 first-round pick No. 25; select WR Marquise Brown
2019 fourth-round pick (No. 127)
2019 sixth-round pick (No. 197)

Nice work by Baltimore a couple of extra picks and still got what they wanted the pick of the Wide Receiver crop.

Redskins & Colts trade for 26th pick

Washington receive:
Pick No. 26; select Edge Montez Sweat

Colts receive:
2019 second-round pick (No. 46)
2020 second-round pick

Good deal for both. Washington need talent now while the Colts can wait plus that 2nd rounder could be a good one given the Skins are still rebuilding

NY Giants & Seahawks trade Pick 30

Giants received: No. 30; select CB Deandre Baker

Seahawks receive:
2019 second-round pick (No. 37)
2019 fourth-round pick (No. 132)
2019 fifth-round pick (No. 142)

Seattle desperately needed extra picks and have done a nice job netting a high second, 3 fourths and a fifth for their original pick 21 – seems like quite a good days work to us.

Atlanta Falcons & LA Rams trade pick 31

Falcons received: No. 31; select OT Kaleb McGary
2019 sixth-round pick (No. 203)

Rams receive:
2019 second-round pick (No. 45)
2019 third-round pick (No. 79)

Not sure that Atlanta was thinking – but still Matt Ryan should be pleased. The Rams have done very nicely out of this given the talent which is still on the board.

Expect a whole lot more of this in day two.
