As Covid-19 is getting lower in lower in cases, so is the amount of people needing to get vaccinated. More and more people everyday are getting vaccinated and this means that doctors and more are able to focus on those who haven’t had the vaccine yet as they were less vulnerable than those who have had the vaccine.

More than 138,299,206 vaccinations have been given out in the UK since been given access to the vaccine and there is still a long way to go with this vaccine if they are wanting to stop the spread of Covid-19. Now they have turned there attention to those under the age of 11.

From Monday, those who are under the age of 11 and over the age of 5 will be able to have the vaccine to protect them from Covid-19. There is a low dose version of this vaccine that is safe for kids under the age of 11 and has been proven to help protect them from this virus.

Eligible kids include those with learning disabilities and long term conditions. This is due to the cases in young children rising but 9 times out of 10, the infection isn’t severe.

The NHS has already delivered more than 3 million vaccines to kids over the age of 12 and under the age of 17! Therefore the plans to move forward and provide more vaccines to kids under the age of 12 and over the age of 5! For more Covid-19 news, click here!
