Raheem Sterling’s Liverpool Prediction

Raheem Sterling’s Liverpool Prediction

Manchester City attacker and former Liverpool player Raheem Sterling has made some comments regarding his old club.

Sterling and Gomez clash.

The England national admits that he believes there’s not much him and his team can do from stopping Liverpool lifting the Premier League Trophy this season.

Manchester City play Arsenal in their first game back, and are fully expecting to lose the league to a very strong Liverpool side. Liverpool are only two wins away from the title, and 25 points ahead of last years champions Manchester City. City and Liverpool also had an exciting and close title race last year too, but Manchester City came out on top and won the league once again.

Sterling, who left the club a few years ago, also agrees the league is for Liverpool’s taking, and that they’ll be pushing to win it next season too.

He said: “When you get that first Premier League trophy you want to win it the next year and the year after that – you want to be greedy.

“They’ve been great this year and we haven’t been quite up to the level that we know we can be. We’ve got to keep pushing to try and finish second and we’ve got the FA Cup and Champions League.

“That’s all the motivation you need – to try and finish the season with two more trophies.”

As last seasons champions league winners, Liverpool actually seemed to struggle in that competition, losing to a strong Atletico Madrid side. They soon after focused all of their efforts on winning the premier league title – for the first time – and it definitely looks like their efforts are going to pay off.
