Premier League Weekend Results: 23/10/20

This weekend might not have lived up to everyones expectations, but thats not to say there weren’t some eventful moments.

Liverpool were without an injured VVD this weekend, and will be for many more.

We can all agree that ever since crowds have disappeared from stadiums, games haven’t quite been the same. The atmosphere that some sets of crowds brought to a match are gone now, and considering some teams thrived on this environment, theres really no saying which way a game is going to go. Some of the bigger clubs have been upset by smaller clubs, and many think this is a big factor.

Speaking of upsets, Villas strong form was broken by newcomers Leeds, who are in equally good form. Bamford, Leeds main man up top, bagged himself a hat trick in the game, whilst the Leeds keeper pulled off some impressive saves to end the game 3-0 Leeds. Its not to say Villa didn’t turn up though, they had a few good chances on goal, and passed the ball around well, but couldn’t match the in form Leeds squad.

League leaders Everton have been caught up by their close rivals Liverpool, after a massive upset from Southampton. Everton went 2-0 down in the first 35 minutes, and seemingly lost their composure from there. A few Everton bookings later, the game ended 2-0, with Southampton nit getting anymore goals.
