He is one of the best wingers in Ligue 1, and could easily be one of the best wingers in the Premier League if he continues his form from Ligue 1. Nicolas Pepe has joined Arsenal on a club record transfer of £72 million. What a transfer this is for them. He has signed a five-year contract with Arsenal after his medical on Tuesday. He could end up being the top goal scorer in the league this year!
From his past few seasons at Lille, he has had 74 appearances and scored 35 goals for the club since 2017, when he joined from Angers! “Being here is very emotional, I have come a long way and struggled a lot and so signing for this great club is a big reward.” said Pepe. Right now, he has become the fourth most expensive signing in the Premier league history, just behind Paul Pogba, Lukaku and Virgil Van Dijk! He could have been on his way to AC Milan for £27 million, however Arsenal went in for the 24-year-old, and it’s clear to see why! They now have one of the best attacks in the Premier League, however… there defends needs some work.
