The Premier League is finally back, and we have seen some of the best in some players and the worst in many others, Liverpool continuing to perform and showing potential to win the title this year once again in their 4-1 victory against Wolves. Same with Manchester City, beating West Ham United 5-0 in their first game, however one team didn’t show up and didn’t perform like they should of… Chelsea! A lot of fans thought Chelsea would be able to perform and have a great chance at winning the league under Frank Lampard, however a 4-0 loss to Manchester United will make any fan believe that Lampard will be getting sacked by the end of the year!
Manchester United seemed to be in top form near the end of the match or half way through the second half, Chelsea made a lot of mistakes in this match, failing to find the goal in 3 easy opportunities and made a lot of defensive mistakes, main one in particular is when Kurt Zouma gave away a cheap penalty. Lampard believes that the side didn’t deserve the 4-0 loss and should have been able to score at least one goal since they had so many chances to score. Lampard will be having some words and will be changing the team sheet for the next game.

The mistakes caused Chelsea nearly all four of the goals scored from United apart from one long through ball from Pogba to Rashford, the rest were counter attacks and bad defending on Chelsea’s part, they will need to make sure that the next game is different and hope they win the next game. Manchester United did outclass Chelsea for about 40 minutes but Chelsea should have scored in the time they were in form.
