The Madeleine McCann Netflix documentary trailer has been released

Netflix are about to release a documentary which everyone will be wanting to watch.

A true-crime documentary about the disappearance of British girl, Madeleine McCann is coming to Netflix tomorrow (15th March 2019). The long awaited documentary is in eight parts and will tell the story of the missing three-year-old.

It will include interviews from the case in the run up to the 12th anniversary of the disappearance. The trailer has just been released and has got everyone hooked.

Madeleine’s parents have refused to take part in the documentary. In a statement on March 7th, the couple said that the documentary could affect the police investigation.

The couple said: “We are aware that Netflix are planning to screen a documentary in March 2019 about Madeleine’s disappearance.

“The production company told us that they were making the documentary and asked us to participate.

“We did not see – and still do not see – how this programme will help the search for Madeleine and, particularly given there is an active police investigation, it could potentially hinder it.”

The documentary will explore the disappearance of Madeleine McCann who was just three-years-old when she vanished from the Portuguese tourist resort of Praia de Luz in May 2007. Madeleine had been left alone sleeping alongside her twin younger siblings in the family holiday apartment. The search for Madeleine is the one of the most high profile missing persons cases in history. Both Portuguese police and an £11 million Scotland Yard investigation was launched in an attempt to locate her.

The documentary will speak about key figures and investigators involved in the case plus, tracing the events leading up to the disappearance.
