Love Island Cancelled: Due to Return in 2021!

Love Island is one of the most popular UK TV series of all time, everyone tunes into watch some girls and boys going into a villa and trying to see what happens, see who becomes couples and the best part of it is the drama! The drama brings people in and to see if they stay together after the show is over and or if they are kicked off the show by the people, however this years Love Island 2020 summer series this year has been cancelled due to the most recent outbreak known as coronavirus!

For some fans, this is a heart break and for some it is a relief, knowing no one will be able to spread coronavirus. “We have tried every which way to make Love Island this summer. But logistically it’s just not possible to produce it in a way that safeguards the wellbeing of everyone involved and that for us is the priority.” Said Kevin Lygo the director of television at ITV. One of the most successful ITV 2 series, however this show is set to return in 2021 if this outbreak is done and dusted by then and all rules and regulations have been taken off, such as social distancing.

The past shows have seen countless people watching them and the last summer series had some of the best ratings in Love Island history, the Love Island that had the winners Greg O’Shea and Amber Gill bring home £25,000 each. This show was one of the most popular shows ever and now has to wait till next year to return back to the TV screens and some fans will be waiting for this show to return so they have something to watch in the Winter and in the Summer.
