Adele has filed for a divorce from her husband Simon Konecki. The singer announced in April that herself and Konecki were separating after three years of marriage. Court documents lodged in Los Angeles on Thursday revealed that Adele has now filed for divorce.
When separating, a statement said that the pair are “committed to raising their son together lovingly. As always they ask for privacy.”
Adele and Konecki started dating in 2011 and had a son in 2012. The singer is best known for her chart topping albums 19, 21 and 25.
The pair got married in 2016 at a private ceremony and the first time Adele publicly addressed the marriage was at the 2017 Grammys. In her speech, she said: “Grammys, I appreciate it. The Academy, I love you. My manager, my husband and my son, you’re the only reason I do it.”
