Jesy Nelson has been heavily praised for her documentary which addresses the impact of bullying. The Odd One Out documentary was aired on BBC One on Thursday and revealed the abuse she got since being on X Factor. She also shared how the troll comments made the star attempt suicide.

“The whole world had an opinion on me, and they weren’t good ones,” Jesy said. “From the minute them comments started, it become the worst time of my life. It literally consumed every part of me.”
Throughout the documentary Jesy reflected on the comments and how they affected her in terms of her self worth. She even stated that she started to believe what people were saying about her.

Jesy’s bandmates also featured on her documentary to discuss how the abuse to Jesy affected the band and how it took away her passion.

Critic Rebecca Nicholson wrote: “This raw, candid documentary explores the fallout Nelson faced after winning The X Factor with Little Mix: a relentless barrage of abuse from cyberbullies.”
Jesy also revealed she would starve herself before shows and in general in a bid to lose weight so she could lose the trolls.
