A lot of people around the world have dogs, a lot of people around the world would love to have a dog, however, there is one thing not many people know about these loyal animals. Dogs are guys best friends and near enough everyone would love to have them off the lead and let them run around a park and or place, only when trustworthy, however, some dogs develop something called selective hearing, which could stop any owner from putting there dogs off the lead ever again until they are trusted off the lead again.
Selective hearing is a thing that stops dogs from hearing you when you call there names and or telling them to come back to you. According to research, this happens to many dogs of any breeds, however some dogs maybe not get this hearing but with this in mind, it’s very common for a dog to have this. A lot of dog owners have complained about there dogs not coming back to them and this is the reason why this is happening. Very normal for a dog to have this selective hearing and to not come back on command. Some dogs such as Labradors and Jack Russells, always have selective hearing, as for Whippets… they have it some times but always will return to their owners if they are too far away.
With this in mind, one way to have this not happen is by having a treat always on hand and when you call his name and he returns to you, give him or her a treat to show that he’s done something good and then from doing that constantly… they will realize they get a treat every time you call there name!
