NFL Week Four Takeaways
Only four weeks gone and already we are starting to see a bit of a gap forming between the top teams and the bottom ones, propped up by the New York sides who are looking worse than expected (and that’s saying something!). Although anything can happen we are pretty confident that the season is pretty much over for 6 teams already, even with the extended playoff places. Anyway here are a few things we took from the weeks games.
The NFC East Could Do Better 3 wins from 16 games!

The Eagles scraping a win was all that could spare the divisions blushes this week. Mind you you can’t blame Dak Prescott and the Cowboys offence 502 yards passing and 4 TDs is normally enough for a win. Washington can take a little heart from Haskins performance but as for The Giants well read on.
Green Bay Look Dangerous!
The Packers are 4-0 and this week the defense looked like it was finally clicking sacking Matt Ryan four times and holding the Falcons to only 78 yards rushing. Shame they gave up two TDs on the ground. Rodgers continued to play like a man with something to prove, throwing another 4 TDs and he is still without an interception this season. All this without his top two wide receivers too! Week 5 at the Buccs is going to be compulsory viewing.
Tom Brady Back In October Form.
After a quiet September start (which has been a bit of a thing over the past few seasons) the real TB12 showed up on Sunday night, and just as well as the Buccs were in a 17 point hole in the second quarter. This was vintage Brady throwing for 369 yards and 5 TDs cumulating with yet another 4th quarter comeback. This was a pretty good result all round as the Chargers with Justin Herbert at QB look like a far better them than their 1-3 record suggests.
The NY Giants Are Worse Than we Thought
When we tell you the most entertaining part of the Rams Giants game was the postgame punch up between Jalen Ramsey & Golden Tate you will know not to bother searching out the replay of this one. That’s two games in a row without a TD for the Giants and at 0-4 another high draft pick to squander looks in the offing. What’s the odds of there being two new head coaches in NY by the end of the season. Not long we think. The Rams were not great but never looked threatened and at 3-1 they will be happy with their season so far.

Good Teams Win Without Playing Well
The Chiefs, Bills & Seahawks all moved smoothly onto 4-0 without playing particularly well. Kansas, in particular, got a lot of help thanks to COVID 19 which meant that Cam Newton was unavailable and his replaced by Brian Hoyer had a paltry 180 yards passing. Despite this, it took the Chiefs deep into the 4th quarter to put the game away.
Predictions:
Well, we finished 11-4 a bit of an improvement on last week.
