NFL Draft If Five Minutes Spare Owned The Top 5 Teams
Ok, we have done our traditional mock draft which you can see here. But just supposing in a parallel universe where we could choose for the teams. Well suppose no more here is what we think would work – it is a bit different.
Round One
1. Cincinnati Bengals – Trade down and take Justin Herbert
Why, because the Bengals still have Andy Dalton and AJ Green is coming back. They would then hopefully get Justin Herbert and not have to rush him in as the starter. We think Burrows will be a success but he is not turning the Bengals into a playoff team as a rookie in the AFC North!
2. Washington Redskins – Chase Young DE Ohio State
Young looks like as safe a pick as you can get this high up the draft board, line him up with Ryan Kerrigan & Montez Sweat and hey presto you have a pretty scary pass rush. Shame about the rest of the team.
3. Detroit Lions – Jeff Okudah CB Ohio State
No brainer this one, the Lions need a shutdown Corner badly and can grab the best one in the draft!
4. N.Y. Giants – Isaiah Simmons LB Clemson
They will Probably go OL but we couldn’t pass up a physical freak like Simmons, who can pretty much line up anywhere on the D-Line. Get one side of the ball sorted and then work on the Offense later or look to compete next season.
5. Miami Dolphins – Tua Tagovailoa QB Alabama
If there were no injury doubts about him we would have had Tua as our No 1 QB this year and he is worth the risk. Especially with Fitzmagik still on the roster.
